hey hey yo jason's back to blog yo yo!
It was a fun pre-national day celebration today with 07s201=)

In the morning, we met up for breakfast in WhiteSands Mac before leaving for school.
the national day speech was really screwed by Ester. She was really strict, demanding TOTAL attention to every word that she says=( in the end, we had to stand in attention throughout the whole speech when she repeated it again. WTH

After the morning assembly, the whole class went over to LT4 to watch a malaysian movie Sepet. All I could say was that, i walked out of the LT very much inspired and touched.(lol)
the story was told in such a beautiful and natural way, and the movie left me alot of space to ponder on.
The movie touched on the sensitive issue of racial discrimination in malaysia, and it told a story of a Chinese man and a malay girl who fell in love with each other.

Quoted from a website, it says that "In this movie there will be a moment where you will laugh and there will be a moment when there are tears at the corner of your eyes, your throat feel lumpy and you tried so hard to control your emotion coz you don't want your fellow audience noticed that you are crying when watching a movie."
so true. lol
After the movie, the class went to sentosa for a day at the beach haha
Got me, shuli, douglas, hua cai, zhi guan, edwin, wilson, alvin, kennison, johnathan, josephine, rachel, jasmine, jana, yingzhen and miao ying.
took the monorail from Vivocity, we reached the beach near shangri-la resort (is it siloso beach?)
played volleyball, soccer, captains ball and we had a dip in the sea! drank a couple of mouthfuls of salt water, had a great time playing frisbee in the water and swimming for the first time in 3 years haha. Had dinner at Vivo foodcourt and went home happy!
sounds like a very normal outing? not so, when u are going out with the happiest bunch of ppl u can go out with. god bless 07s201
After the movie, one GP tutor commented that, to be able to laugh at ones own mistake is a feat worth celebrating. It involves a sprinkle of humor, but when I gave serious thought to what he said, it surfaced to me how true it was. I think that people who are afraid to lose and to admit mistakes they commit will never improve. Humility encourages other people to give constructive critique on your doings, and its only in this way where we humans can progress in life.
i really admire those who can laugh at their own mistakes, and i am honored to know some of these people in my class=)
